India and Afghanistan want to see a country free of terrorism. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani held a virtual meeting in which the two neighbors agreed that the development of a terror-free region was crucial. India and Afghanistan have also signed an agreement to build the Shahtoot Dam in Kabul for the supply of drinking water in the capital of Afghanistan.
PM Narendra Modi, speaking to Ashraf Ghani at a video conference said, India and Afghanistan want to see the region free from terrorism. Hence, PM Modi also expressed concern about the increasing violence in Afghanistan and said that. India is supporting a comprehensive ceasefire in the country.
Moreover, Ashraf Ghani added that a sovereign and independent. Afghanistan is crucial to the growth, connectivity, and stability of South Asia. Peace is the Afghan people’s core wish but peace must be the peace that ends the conflict and does not become a preface to another tragedy in the chapter.

As PM Modi and Ashraf Ghani looked on. Similarly, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his Afghan counterpart signed the MoU to build the dam in Kabul on Tuesday.
