According to a source close to the matter. Oklahoma has reached a deal with Loyola Chicago’s Porter Moser to become the Sooners’ next head coach. Since the move has not revealed, the individuals spoke on the condition of anonymity on Friday. Moser will take over for Lon Kruger. He resigned last month after 10 years as the Sooners head coach. Moser directed Loyola to two deep NCAA Tournament appearances. The Ramblers reached the Final Four in 2018 and the Sweet 16 this year. He has gone 188-141 in ten years at Loyola and has a 293-242 record in 17 seasons as a college head coach with stops at Arkansas Little Rock (2000-03) and Illinois State (2003-07).

In 2017-18, the Ramblers went 32-6 and wowed the country with an unlikely streak fuelled by one last-second shot after another. However, Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, the team’s 98-year-old nun.
