China insists Taiwan’s pineapple ban is not about politics. The Dragon country refuted Taiwan’s allegations of the prohibition of pineapples from the island. Being a matter of politics and claiming that it was solely biosecurity in the escalating war of speech, adding to current tensions. Chinese declared last week’s ban on “dangerous animals,” which it said could bear fruit and endanger Chinese farming themselves. Taiwan which China considers to be its own country. That says its pineapples have nothing wrong and Peking is using the fruit for coercing the island.
The decision was totally rational and appropriate. According to the Taiwan Chinese Office and customs were responsible for preventing entry into the country of plant-borne diseases. The authorities of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have purposely misrepresented and maliciously perceived technological problems and took advantage of the ability to target and ridicule Taiwan. The DPP has neither the will nor the capacity to address realistic issues only by slandering the continent can they avoid accountability.
The government has also requested Taiwanese companies to buy bulk and seek new export markets:
