The Philippines is Asia’s leading beach and dive destinations for 2020:
The Philippines: It is an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia located in the western pacific ocean. However, the country almost has 7,641 islands, which are broadly categorized into three divisions. The divisions include Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. While the capital city of the Philippines is Manila and the most beautiful city is Quezon City.
Meanwhile, the Philippines won three honors in the World Travel Awards 2020. The country won the award for Asia’s leading beach destination, dive destination, and tourist board. Whereas in the beach destination category, it succeeds against five other countries including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
Besides, the Philippines already won the leading beach destination awards in 2013, 2016, and 2018 respectively. The victory comes as a surprise because it has almost 7,600 islands around the country. Each and every island will suit travelers from different tastes including adventure lovers, water sports enthusiasts, and divers.
Some of the beaches like Boracay has almost 5 km of white beach. While Nacpan Beach is the perfect place for swimming located on the north of El Nido.
El Nido:
It is in the limestone formation of the Bacuit Archipelago. The beaches that are in and around the north Palawan town are beautiful to swim in.
From 5 Km north to El Nido via motorcycle reaches Nacpan Beach. It has almost 3 km of white sand and it is a perfect place to swim. Whereas the place also offers yummy seafood and shakes. After a few kilometres to the north, a beautiful Duli Beach that has less-crowded people and has excellent to surf from December to March respectively.
From 20 minutes south of El Nido, a beach known as Maremegmeg Beach, which is famous for sunset and hangouts. Another beautiful place from the south of the town is 7 Commandos Beach, which is traveled only by boat.
Cebu:
The island is in the form of a banana that has international flight accessibility from Asian hubs like Hong Kong and the largest city Cebu. If you’re traveling with family, you will find beautiful resorts near the airport on Mactan Island. However, the beaches in Mactan Island are nothing special. You need to hire a boat and go to Bohol Strait, where you find an ample amount of white sand and visit beautiful beach views.
If you are planning more time, then travel to the northern side of the island by car for almost 3 hours. There you find pump boats that will take you to Malapascua Island. The island has bounty beach, scuba divers, and other adventures.
Southern Negros:
If you want to experience one of the world-class beaches then look at southern Negros. You have to fly to Dumaguete, the regional capital of Negros. From there you need to travel an hour to Apo Island. The Island is top for diving with beautiful resorts.
Besides, four hours of travel by bus to Sipalay’s Sugar Beach, you’ll feel that you’ve reached the end of the earth.
Boracay:
In 2018, the Philippines tourism department closed the beach for almost six months due to environmental problems. However, the beach has reopened on some restrictions.
The number of visitors is being restricted, you need to book hotel reservations in advance. On the other side, drinking alcohol is prohibited on the island.
Pagudpud:
However, it is not that easy for everyone to travel, but those with a sense of adventure are advised to visit Pagudpud. The beach is located on the northern side of the Philippines island in Luzon.
The highways are one of the great ocean roads on the pacific coast highway. The robust winds are heaven for expert surfers and windsurfers.
