Australia fined 40% of match fee, four WTC points for slow over-rate:

The Australian cricket team fined a 40 per cent fee for the match. This fine was done for four ICC World Test Championship points for maintaining a slow over-rate against India. This has happened in the second test conducted on Tuesday in Melbourne. During the second test match referee, David Boon has manipulated Tim Paine and they have lost eight wickets. All the players fined about 20 per cent of their match fee. As per the ICC statement. Everyone failed to bowl in the allotted time. Australia fined 40% of the match fee.

As per Article 16.11.2 of the ICC World Test Championship. Four World Test Championship points have deducted from Australia’s points. Paine argued to the offence and accepted the proposed grant. This charge stated by fielding umpires. Bruce Oxenford and Paul Reiffel, third umpire Paul Wilson and fourth umpire Gerard Abood.

Boxing Day Test:
